Cautions while using Computers
To avoid strain to the eyes while working on computers:-
- Do not sit on computers for long hours at a stretch. Stagger your work in a day.-
- Prefer to work on computers during day light. Artificial light tires faster. Do not work on computers in a dark room. Artifical light should be diffused around the work place and not "focus" on your table.-
- Use a comfortable chair and use it properly by keeping the vertebral column straight. Do not sit on the edge. Rest your arms on the arm rest of the chair and not table.-
- Learn to recline on backrest while sitting.-
- Take breaks in between (best is keep sipping water so you will go to restroom, return and again start sipping so the cycle will continue. And choose the farthest restroom so you walk)-
- Do not eat while working. Take a break to fill yourself. (The key boards are most contaminated with organisms!)-
- Look around the greenery to divert the attention. Position your computers near a window and keep the window open to loose the radiation of the CRT of monitor.-
- Keep some indoor plant close to your work station. Plants take the radiation-
- Play some soft music in the background when feeling stressed-
- Use a flat monitor-
- Keep safe viewing distance from the monitor.Do not see from close.-
- Keep the resolution of the monitor to 50% (Increasing it does make it bright but takes away your brightness).-
- Have a pleasing soft colour on the walls of the room-
- Behind the screen put your choicest calender/poster/artifact th one which you like most. Do look up to view it.-
- Take care of your eyes. They tire the most and are valuable asset.
